Setting jumper JP1 connects the internal ground of the AMC2

4W to the ground of the RS-485 host interface. If the ground

conductor of the RS-485 interface between the AMC2 4W mod-

ules is connected, set Jumper JP2 only at a single AMC2 4W.

The host system must not connect cable shield and protective

ground. If not using the ground conductor of the RS-485 host

interface, Jumper JP1 should be set at every AMC2 4W.

Setting jumper JP2 connects the internal ground of the AMC2

4W to the shield of the RS-485 host interface. Set Jumper JP2

only at the first AMC2 4W of a party line. The host system must

not connect cable shield and protective ground. If the AMC2 4W

is set to RS-232 mode, Jumper JP2 must be set.

Jumper B connects the internal ground of the AMC2 4W to the

RS-485 ground of the slave interface. Jumper B shall only be

set (B2) if the AMC2 4W powers all other peripheral devices

which are directly connected to the AMC2 4W.
