f For extended environmental conditions
f High-quality MPEG-4 Video over IP
f One, two or four video input units
f Built-in “Intelligence at the Edge”
f Network-attached RAID5 storage via iSCSI
The Bosch VideoJet X encoders belong to a family of high-
performance industrial single-, dual- or quad-input CCTV video
encoders. They are built into a rugged housing and
constructed in a way to withstand environmental conditions
that are uncommon to standard encoders. The VideoJet X
encoders may go into fields with rough environment where
standard products would simply give up.
The VideoJet X encoders may be used in cold and hot places,
operating from -30 °C to +60 °C (-22 °F to +140 °F). They can
also be placed at remote locations, benefiting from their SFP
slot for e.g. a fiber interface module so that no external fiber
hardware is needed. Furthermore, they can be battery or solar
powered due to their wide range DC power input from 10 to
30 VDC. This makes them ideal for outdoor applications like
perimeter, border and fence control as well as for industry
applications where they are placed into harsh environment.
The VideoJet X encoders may also be used in mobile
applications. They can be installed in trains, busses and other
vehicles due to industrial grade vibration proofness.
Their flexibility is also visible from their many recording
options, ranging from local recording on RAM, CompactFlash
or integrated automotive grade hard disk to recording on
central NVR or network-attached RAID5 storage via iSCSI.
Additional USB interfaces allow future connectivity via WAN or
Wireless LAN networks to cover applications that are going to
the limit as the VideoJet X encoders do themselves.
The VideoJet X10 and X20 encoders deliver MPEG-4 Video over
IP at a full frame rate of 25 images (PAL) or 30 images (NTSC)
per second at 4CIF resolution on every video channel.
The VideoJet X40 is capable of providing 4CIF resolution at
12.5/15 images per second or full frame rate of 25 images
(PAL) or 30 images (NTSC) per second at 2CIF or 2/3 D1
resolution for every video channel. For those inputs, where
ultimate performance is required, also 4CIF at 25/30 images
per second video is available when alternate channels are
used.
